Labor Day Party

Labor Day is an annual holiday celebrating all over the world that resulted from the efforts of the labor union movement, to celebrate the economic social achievement of workers. The celebration of Labor Day has it's origin in the 8 hr. day movement which advocated 8 hr. for work, 8 hr. recreation, and 8 hr. for rest. Most countries celebrate Labor Day on May 1st., known as May Day. Both Canada and the United States celebrate Labor Day on the 1st Monday in September. Families use this as the last long weekend of the summer, and a great time to have a party! At this time of the year the weather is usually very nice and many families and friends gather to celebrate. This is done with barbeques, picnics, fireworks and festive fun. Celebration also includes: food, drink, and various types of act ivies such as water sport fun, public art events, and parades. Labor Day is a festive event and a fun holiday.
